High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is in south-east England, home to many woodlands, historic parks and sites and villages. In this day trip, we visited Scotney Castle and Bewl Water.
Scotney Castle is not just a castle as its name suggests but it also has a beautiful park, wood and country house you can visit.

House |
Inside the house and castle, there are some interesting corners, and I really enjoyed capturing them.

Feels as if someone lives here and is about to come back |

Expecting for someone |
The grounds of Scotney Castle is as full with surprising and beautiful corners as the buildings in the estate.

Bewl Water is a reservoir perfect place for people like me who have grown up near the water and always so excited to see and visit any type of water even an artificial reservoir. This place is not just about reservoir though, it has walking and cycling trails and other activities. We had a short walk of 3.6 km along the water then into the woods and back. We had to cut our walk short in the woods as it was too muddy and we were not prepared with our shoes. So don't forget to bring wellies or boots (or normal shoes if you don't care :) )

If you are looking for a nice stopping point for food, we went to The Vineyard in Lamberhurst village very near to Scotney Castle, it has a nice and big garden, perfect for summer days.
