What else better to do than visiting an outdoor garden and walk along the river on a freezing day in January? If you cannot think of any answer, then this day trip might be perfect for you. It involves a trip to RHS Garden Wisley and a walk alongside the River Wey.
If you like nature and interested in seeing different types of plants, flowers and trees, RHS Wisley is not only perfect place for that, but also it offers beautiful views and it is full of different sections and corners - some are hidden and some take you by surprise.

After having a long walk and exploration in the RHS Garden Wisley, the next stop is Pyrford Lock near the Anchor pub. There is a path along the canal which goes quite far so you can enjoy a long or a short walk as you wish, as you watch the canal boats that are parked or passing by. If you are planning to eat at the Anchor or any other pub in the region, I suggest you to make a reservation in advance, as this was one of the times we have entered into several pubs and could not find any with a free table. So don't make our mistakes!
