Castleton is a small beautiful town in the heart of Peak District area.It is not on a train line but it is connected with 271/272 buses to Hathersage and Hope villages which are served by trains from Sheffield and Manchester. As it is very well connected with buses to other Peak District town, it is a good option for exploring other villages and a perfect option for a car-free holiday in the UK and Peak District. It has many beauty spots Mam Tor, Cave Dale, Peak Cavern and Blue John Cavern among others.

You can experience many different walks here as there are many paths and options. This walk follows the path from Castleton town centre through Cave Dale, up to Mam Tor, crossing to Hollins Cross, and then down back to Castleton town centre creating a circular walk with fair bit of climbing with well deserved views.
