Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest

I can hear you saying what is a Pinetum? I did not hear of this word before visiting Bedgebury pinetum either, and apparently it is pronounced as “py–nee–tum”. It is a beautiful place with so many different trees, ponds, green areas and most importantly walking and cycling tracks and many more.

There are many trails to follow but you can also create your own walk like we did, following paths that look inviting to us, wandering through the forest, getting lost and finding our way back again.

Beautiful views

Also, don't forget to bring a picnic and enjoy relaxing on the welcoming greenness or benches that are easy to come across every so often.

Resting moments in the nature

Remember to look up once in awhile to enjoy the views as there are so many different trees and often very tall ones.

Up!

Bedgebruy is 5 minutes away from Bewl water, so I would suggest also visiting Bewl water if you have time (and energy after a long walk at the Pinetum!). Here are my other blog posts for ideas: Bewl Water and Camber Sands, and Scotney Castle and Bewl Water.
